International Bank Office

International Bank Office: offices of foreign (non-United States) banks operating in the United States. In Florida, the Office of Financial Regulation can authorize a foreign bank to operate an administrative office, representative office, agency office or branch office. Various levels of authorized powers/ activities are permitted for each type of office.

Application Requirements

A foreign bank would be required to submit the appropriate application (based on the desired type of office) to the Office of Financial Regulation. An application would also have to be filed with the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System.
